Wu Tsai Rung was born in Taipei City in 2008. In the late summer of 2014, she inadvertently encountered an old harmonica at her grandfather’s house and began her relationship with the harmonica. When she was in the first grade of elementary school, under the enlightenment of Teacher Chang Chao Teng, Tsai Rung gradually fell in love with this small and exquisite “pocket piano.”

With perseverance and passion, she has continued to shine on major stages, winning numerous first prizes in both solo and ensemble categories, including the Taiwan National Student Music Competition, the Taiwan Harmonica Music Competition (THMC), the Asia Pacific Harmonica Festival (APHF), and the Seoul International Harmonica Festival (SIHF).

Tsai Rung has also been invited multiple times to perform as a soloist at the Closing First Prize Concerts of these competitions, as well as to appear as a featured guest at Gala concerts. In addition, she remains active in various musical performances, where her delicate tone and heartfelt interpretations never fail to leave a lasting impression.

With every note, she is enchanted by the harmonica’s graceful dance among the reeds, breathing life into melodies filled with joy and emotion. To her, the harmonica is more than an instrument—it is a cherished companion through laughter and tears, and a diary that tenderly preserves the chapters of her journey.
